Every new year arrives with a familiar script: promises we make to ourselves, lists of things we must  do, habits we have  to change. Resolutions are framed as commitments, but they often feel more like demands — rigid expectations that leave little room for reality. When those expectations aren’t met, guilt steps in. Motivation fades. And before long, the resolution itself becomes another reminder of where we feel we’ve fallen short. This year, consider a different approach:
